The Wrong Ship
It's been a while I have written something. But unlike other writers, my writing flows freely when it's something I have heard for a while, pondered upon n I've become passionate about (at least for that while)
Ok. So here is one of such things that I have bred upon for a while.
I have derived this note from a story in the bible which for the purpose of this note I will take in isolation.
God sent Jonah to Nineveh for a reason. However, he refused to go and entered into the wrong ship.
I will liken this to many of us today who have similarly entered into A wrong ship called Relationships.
Now, being that he was in a wrong ship, the journey was good for a while but not for too long. The effect of his wrong decision soon became evident. The ship began to sink. A wrong relationship may be good for a while but not for too long. It will soon sink.
The inhabitants of the ship thought that the goods will solve the problem. It didn't! A wrong relationship can't be resolved with material things or things of the flesh. The only solution is to make the right decision.
Until Jonah got out of that ship, there was no peace. While there is time, get out of that wrong ship. God will still send that 'fish' to save you. The ship may have sank killing all it's inhabitants if Jonah didn't make the right decision.
While you can, while you have the time, get out of that wrong ship- relationship, friendship, partnership, companionship, leadership, discipleship, followership, worship.
Make the right decision now!
And just incase you are wondering, if you are in the right ship, know that Christ will be there to calm the storm like He did when he was on the ship with His disciples.
Remember, they were in the right 'ship'. Also, the storm didn't care that Christ was on the sea. But because the disciples were in the right ship, the called on Christ and He calmed the storm.
So definitely, there will be storms! But if you are in the right ship, it will never sink!
You get my drift?
